Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about subscriptions, risk management and reporting.

What is Trade Tomte? +

Trade Tomte is a crypto trading bot with dashboards, reports, logs and automated exchange sync.

Which exchange does it use? +

The system is built around exchange API keys and currently focuses on Binance-compatible trading flows. See the guide for creating and connecting Binance API keys.

Can I control my bots? +

Yes. The dashboard includes bot controls, open orders, reports and manual account actions.

Is profit guaranteed? +

No. Crypto markets are volatile and automated trading can produce losses. Only trade with funds you can afford to lose.

Why do my orders show negative PnL? +

Open orders can move up and down before the strategy has finished. A negative PnL does not automatically mean the setup has failed; the bot may still be waiting for the market to reach its next level or exit condition. Give the strategy time to work, but remember that losses can still happen.

How long does it take before an order turns positive? +

There is no fixed time. Some orders move quickly, while others need more market movement before the strategy can exit. Watch the signal status and chart, but avoid judging an open order from a single short move.

What do Pending, OK and Sent mean? +

Pending means the bot is waiting for the next condition. OK means part of the signal has been reached or confirmed. Sent means an exit or follow-up order has been sent to the exchange.

Why is chart data sometimes missing? +

Charts are mirrored from candle sync. If a symbol was just added, the sync is restarting, or the exchange did not return data yet, the chart can temporarily show gaps. It normally fills in after the next sync cycle.

Can the bot close an order at a loss? +

Yes. Risk controls, market changes, failed conditions or manual actions can close an order at a loss. The goal is controlled execution, not guaranteed profit on every order.

What happens if the exchange API disconnects? +

If the exchange API cannot be reached, new actions may be delayed until the connection works again. Existing exchange orders remain on the exchange. Check your API keys on the account page if updates stop.

Where can I see results? +

Active users can view PnL, win rate, trade reports and account value inside the dashboard reports page.

How do subscriptions work? +

Choose a subscription period on the pricing page. Longer periods provide better total value.
