Log in to Binance
Open Binance in your browser, log in, and make sure two-factor authentication is enabled. Binance may also require identity verification and an active Spot wallet before an API key can be created.

Connect Binance to Trade Tomte
Follow these steps to create a Binance API key, set the right permissions, and connect it to Trade Tomte.
Important security note
Never enable withdrawal permission for Trade Tomte. API keys can control account actions depending on their permissions, so keep the secret private and use the smallest permission set that matches your bot. Automated trading involves risk and profit is never guaranteed.
Create the API key in Binance

Open API Management
Go to Profile, Account, and then API Management. You can also use the direct Binance API Management link below after logging in.

Create a system-generated key
Choose Create API, select a system-generated API key if Binance asks for key type, and name it Trade Tomte so it is easy to find later.

Complete security verification
Confirm with email, authenticator app, passkey, or the verification methods Binance asks for.

Copy API Key and API Secret
Copy both values immediately. The API Secret is normally only shown once, so if you lose it you need to delete the key and create a new one.

Edit restrictions
Open Edit restrictions and enable only the permissions Trade Tomte needs. Save the changes and complete Binance verification if it asks again.
Connect the key in Trade Tomte
When Binance shows your API Key and API Secret, keep that tab open and paste the values into Trade Tomte.

Open your Trade Tomte account page
Log in to Trade Tomte and open Account. The Exchange API box is where the Binance key is connected.

Choose Binance
Select Binance as exchange in the Exchange API form.

Paste the keys
Paste API Key in the API Key field and API Secret in the API Secret field. Check that there are no extra spaces before or after the values.

Save and create a bot
Click Save API. After the key is saved, choose a package if needed and create your first bot from the dashboard.
If something does not work
I cannot see my API Secret again
That is expected on Binance. Delete the old key, create a new one, and save the new API Key and Secret in Trade Tomte.
The Binance connection does not work
Check that the key and secret were copied correctly and that the Binance permissions are saved. If the secret is missing or wrong, create a new API key in Binance and save it again.
The bot does not start trading
Check subscription status, bot status, budget, symbol settings, Binance permissions, and whether the account supports the market type you selected.
